What We
Offer

Irrigation Design

The Golf Irrigation Consultants team manages all aspects of the design process including: hydraulics, system requirements & limitations, wiring circuits, pump house design, and all related irrigation components. We listen to your goals and create a plan to meet your budget and save both, water and energy. Golf Course Irrigation Consultants are hands on and will conduct multiple site visits to get a full scope of your unique needs and requirements. At the end of the design process, you will have all the information needed for it to go to the second phase of the process, which is Bidding & Specification documents.

Irrigation Programming

We offer this service on new irrigation systems or we can re-program your existing software. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Toro or Rainbird.  We have the experience to assist you with your small or large programming needs.

Many Superintendents who change jobs inherit a central system of which they are not familiar. They may need on-site training or in most cases want to change what they have to fit their irrigating needs. We can build a new hydraulic flow chart in the hydraulic program or make changes to an existing flow tree to help optimize the flow and pressure of irrigation water.

Satellite Upgrades

Golf Irrigation Consultants (GIC) has installed over 1000 irrigation satellites on 18 golf courses in California, Florida, Hawaii and Mexico. We have poured new cement pads and replaced satellites onto existing pads. This is one part of our "Turn-Key" services.

As a licensed C-27 Landscape Contractor, we can handle the entire control system upgrade. When a client uses GIC, they always get the owners on site and in the trenches to perform the work. We are conscientious about or clients property, staff and clientele.

Water Audits

A water audit includes a comprehensive irrigation system evaluation and a complex series of tests which helps GIC determine the health and efficiency of your irrigation system. Many golf courses are quite surprised with the results and recommendations. This is due to the fact that we have learned to evaluate the irrigation system in ways in which our clients had not thought of. They are always pleased when we provide low cost solutions and turf conditions begin improving immediately.

It is not uncommon to find that many golf courses are spending 5-20% more on water costs due to many factors which are difficult to detect unless a professional water audit is conducted.

As the years go on, there are problems and changes which occur in the field that are not accurately reflected in the central computer. Sprinklers and other major components wear out due to wear and tear through time and constant use. Dry spots are often over-irrigated to compensate for inefficient spacing or sprinkler selection. These are just a few factors which often add up to over-watering which effects the bottom line!

GPS / GIS

Our company uses survey grade GPS equipment. We also have the ability to combine our GPS data with digital aerial photography. A GPS map or as-built is imperative to make smart water conservation decisions.

In addition the maps are a resource that can help you plan future golf course renovations and changes. Depending on the size of the course GPS mapping can take anywhere from between 4-8 days onsite and we GPS every data point including: Sprinklers, Valves, Satellites, Bunkers, Fairways, Cart-paths, Tee's, Greens, and Landscaping features. Our investment in drone technology helps us provide every client with a final map that highlights the irrigation system and the features of the golf course.
